Markzware announced its Universal Binary version of the ‘miracle XTension,’ MarkzTools which takes advantage of the Intel-based Macs.

This Universal Binary update of Markzware MarkzTools is used to prevent corrupted QuarkXPress documents, overcoming the dreaded bad file format, retrieve text from corrupted documents and view images in gray previews to reduce file size. Additionally, MarkzTools allows QuarkXPress users to do a Save As to Quark 4.1.

Tom Allen of Pear Graphic Design recently used MarkzTools and commented by saying, “MarkzTools opened the file and saved about 90 percent of my work. I thought hard about purchasing your software, since I did not know if it would work, and, frankly, €200 seemed like a lot to pay an extension. In the end, it was worth every penny.”

“Since 1993, MarkzTools has helped many thousands of users and Markzware is pleased to provide a Universal Binary version. Data conversion-type products like MarkzTools and PM2Q actually provided the first technical breakthroughs that we needed to create FlightCheck, which we eventually released in 1995,” said Patrick Marchese founder and CEO of Markzware Software, Inc.

MarkzTools is available for immediate download or on CD-ROM, starting at €199 or £139 MSRP for new users. Registered users of MarkzTools 7 can upgrade for free. Educational pricing and volume discounts are available.
