Leaf announces the release of Leaf Capture version 11, a newly designed version of the company’s popular image workflow software. The new Leaf Capture software enables photographers to easily and intuitively work with images, save time and benefit from significant improvements in their productivity.

The new version offers many innovative features including Live View, which allows for making compositions live on the monitor, multiple monitor support, wireless preview, user-definable grids and overlays. Leaf Capture also features an all-new user interface that makes the workflow experience even smoother.

Unique to the software is its ability to enable a parallel workflow, where the photographer can capture, edit and process the actual images at the same time. Leaf Capture also allows exceptionally fast access to 1:1 image resolution on the RAW images for immediate evaluation of the actual image shot. Specifically designed as the image capture software for Leaf’s digital camera backs, Leaf Capture takes the photographer from capture to print using a straightforward and intuitive flow.

“The new Leaf Capture software expands on the capabilities of our previous generation of Leaf Capture software.  This new version will save time and offer the optimal working environment for professional photographers, allowing them to effortlessly check and perfect images while they shoot,” commented Ziv Argov, Leaf’s Director of Product Marketing and Business Development.

Major new features include:

- Faster viewing and processing speed: due to a redesigned architecture

- Multiple monitor support: Specifically designed for large, high-resolution monitors

- Moiré removal tool:  Ensure moiré removal directly from the RAW file, without blurring or losing detail, preserving the image’s original sharpness.

- All-new user interface: large easy-to-read text, intuitive buttons and icons ensure smooth workflow operation

- Wireless preview mode: When working un-tethered, Leaf WiView software enables images to be simultaneously reviewed on an HP iPAQ Pocket PC

- Live View: View in real-time a streamed image on the monitor in order to focus, check depth-of-field, composition, and layout while shooting

- Grid and layout overlays: digital files or paper sketches received from art directors are easily imported and displayed as overlays for setting up the final composition on the shoot

- Color temperature and tint sliders: Simple to set up the right temperature setting for specific lighting, giving shots the most-true color

- Expert color profiles: A wide range of fully ICC compliant input profiles and RGB/CMYK work spaces, with the flexibility to create custom profiles.

Leaf Capture directly addresses the needs of customers who are working on both high-volume productions and according to tight deadlines, such as catalogue and fashion shoots. It is designed for editing and managing files in both tethered and portable shooting modes.

Leaf Capture 11 software supports the following Leaf digital camera backs:  the Leaf Aptus™ Series 75S/54S/75/65/22, and Leaf Valeo models 22/22Wi/17Wi/11.
