Estelle McGechie wrote this Apple Pro Training Series introduction to Aperture.
Frankly, unless you really don’t know anything about Digital Asset Management systems and photo-editing, this book is useless.
Aperture is aimed at professional photographers who should really know how to start working with Aperture. Most of the information in this book is so basic, that you’re wondering why the author bothered writing it in the first place.
There is one chapter — on correcting photos with Aperture — that is less beginner style, but the Apple Pro Training Series has another book on Aperture that covers these topics as well, and a lot more.
