German publishing house GONG Verlag has commissioned SNAP Innovation to move production of their magazines to a production workflow using Adobe Creative Suite and SoftCare’s K4 Publishing System. The contract was signed in December 2004. This installation replaces a workflow built on the Quark Publishing System (QPS) and QuarkXPress.
Merlin is a project manager for Mac OS X users. Merlin was created by German developers ProjectWizards who had a keen eye for integration with existing Mac OS X applications, ease-of-use and powerful features that previously were only found in Microsoft’s Project Manager on Wintel.

Pfeiffer Consulting recently released a Technology Analysis and Strategy Outlook report on QuarkXpress and InDesign. The analyst compared QuarkXpress 6 with InDesign CS, and also had a first look at QuarkXpress 6.5. Not only were both applications compared with each other, but Pfeiffer also analysed what both are lacking in terms of functionality to support a workflow in an optimal manner.
A digital signature identifies the person signing a document as much as a conventional handwritten signature does. Unlike conventional signatures, however, a digital signature also stores information about the person signing the document. Signatures help prevent unwanted changes to a PDF document, which is reason enough why you should be interested in the digital signature capabilities of Acrobat 7.
